Project
I was the Level Lead for three of I Expect You To Die 3's six levels. My responsibilities changed through production, all the way from prepro to shipping, but included:
- Design, prototype, and pitch puzzles and interactions
- Develop a shared vision among the artists, programmers, and designers on the level content team
- Manage feedback from directors, playtesters, and the team and determine iterations and action items
- Own and author complex cinematic sequences
I was also the Game Design Lead for the design team. Working with the Design Director, my responsibilities included:
- Create and uphold best design practices
- Spec and maintain design content authoring tools and processes
- Champion best practices for the franchise in its third installment
This project allowed me to develop not only my core design skills, but also develop leadership skills in ways I never could have expected. It was a wonderful experience.
